This Privacy Policy explains how World Community Service Center (WCSC) and https://anboli.in ("we", "our", or "us") collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information when you use the Anboli mobile application (available on iOS and Android) and the anboli.in website (collectively, the "Service").
Anboli is dedicated to sharing the teachings, yogic philosophy, lectures, and publications of Thathuvagnani Vethathiri Maharishi, including the monthly publication of the Anboli spiritual magazine. We respect your personal privacy and are committed to protecting it through compliance with this policy.
Key Summary: We only collect information necessary to maintain your user account, deliver digital magazine editions, process your subscriptions, and keep you notified of new spiritual publications and spiritual center events. We do not sell your personal data to any third parties.
1. Information We Collect
When you register, subscribe, or use the Anboli app, we may collect the following categories of information:
A. Information You Provide Directly
Account Information: Name, email address, mobile number, postal/residential address, and chosen password when creating an Anboli account.
Subscription & Profile Details: Your subscription ID, subscription status (free vs. premium subscriber), validity dates, and payment history records.
Donation & Voluntary Contribution Details: Donor name, purpose of contribution, passport status (for regulatory compliance), and transaction reference IDs.
Support Communications: Inquiries, feedback, or account deletion requests sent via email to our team.
B. Information Collected Automatically
Device & Log Data: Device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, IP address, app build version, and app performance logs.
Push Notification Tokens: If you allow push notifications, we store a push token (via OneSignal) to send you spiritual quote updates, publication announcements, and mandram events.
Approximate Location (When In Use): If permitted, approximate location data is used strictly to recommend nearby SKY Yoga centers, trusts, and localized spiritual events (as described in our NSLocationWhenInUseUsageDescription). We do not track continuous background location.
2. Payments and In-App Subscriptions
Anboli offers optional auto-renewing premium subscriptions to grant readers full access to the complete digital magazine archives and newly published monthly issues.
iOS In-App Purchases: All subscription purchases within the iOS application are processed securely by Apple StoreKit through your Apple ID account. We do not receive, store, or process your credit card numbers or banking credentials. Apple handles the payment and sends our server a cryptographic receipt verification token to activate your subscription.
Subscription Management: You can manage or cancel your auto-renewing subscriptions at any time directly through your Apple ID Account Subscriptions Settings.
Non-iOS / Web Payments: On non-iOS platforms or our website, payments are handled by certified external payment aggregators (such as Razorpay). Voluntary donations on iOS redirect to our official website in the user's web browser in accordance with Apple App Store Guideline 3.1.3(f).
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information for the following purposes:
To create and manage your personal reader account;
To verify, activate, and restore your digital magazine subscriptions;
To deliver digital issues (EPUB / PDF reader) and stream spiritual lectures and meditation videos;
To send important service announcements, renewal reminders, and spiritual daily messages;
To assist you with customer service and account inquiries;
To monitor and maintain the technical health, security, and stability of the app;
To comply with legal and statutory requirements applicable to registered non-profit trusts.
4. Third-Party Service Providers
We may engage trusted third-party service providers to facilitate our Service. These parties are provided only with the information required to perform specific functions and are strictly bound to keep your data confidential:
Apple In-App Purchase (StoreKit): In-app purchase processing on iOS (Apple Privacy Policy).
OneSignal: Notification delivery for publication announcements and updates (OneSignal Privacy Policy).
Amazon Web Services (AWS S3): Secure cloud hosting for digital publication assets and magazine media.
Vimeo / YouTube: Video streaming integration for Maharishi spiritual lectures and meditation sessions.

5. Data Retention & Account Deletion
We retain your personal information for as long as your Anboli account remains active or as required to provide you with the magazine service and comply with legal records retention.
Account Deletion Rights:
You have the right to request the complete deletion of your Anboli account and all associated Personally Identifiable Information (PII) at any time.
Inside the App: Open the slide menu (☰) and tap "Delete My Account" (எனது கணக்கை நீக்கவும்). This will guide you to initiate an account deletion request.
Via Email: Send an email from your registered email address to anboliapp@vethathiri.ac.in with the subject line "Account Deletion Request".
Upon confirmation, your personal account credentials, profile data, and associated records will be permanently removed from our active databases.
6. Security of Your Information
We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical security measures (including HTTPS encryption, access-controlled databases, and API authorization tokens) to safeguard your personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. However, please note that no transmission over the Internet or wireless network can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.
7. Children's Privacy
The Anboli application is designed for general audiences interested in yogic philosophy, meditation, and wellness. We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under the age of 13. If we become aware that personal information from a child under 13 has been collected without parental consent, we will promptly delete that data from our servers.
